Quilted Lavender Hanky #1. Quilted cotton and polyester. 12.5" x 12.5"

A re-articulation of hanky "flagging." Lavender flags "drag," (left- likes drag, right- is drag) a surprising deviation from the current climate of gay male "masc 4 masc" preoccupation and the resulting almost visible extinction of crossover between gay men and trans women's communities and particularly gay men's articulated femme desire. Given the culturally appropriative nature of the now universal paisley hanky pattern, I am creating rough-and-tumble quilted hankies with symbology created around the fluidity of gender and the movement beyond maleness to Queen-dom.
